Job Description

Summary:

Key Role: Oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the organization’s facilities within the Supply Chain Director. Ensures buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained, secure, and compliant with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Supervises facilities staff and coordinates resources to create a safe and efficient work environment.

 

Roles and Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all facilities management activities, including maintenance, repairs, and cleaning operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance or safety issues.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage facilities-related service providers, vendors, and contractors, including contracts and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor facilities budgets, track expenditures, and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Supervise facilities staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and incident reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facilities operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or operations supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office and facilities management software.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience managing service contracts, vendors, or outsourced maintenance teams.
