National Ambulance Recognised for ‘Supplier Excellence’ by Abu Dhabi Airports
Award given for outstanding performance and high standards in service delivery
16 May 2017Abu Dhabi, 16 May 2017: National Ambulance has been awarded the ‘Supplier Excellence Award’ by Abu Dhabi Airports (ADAC) for its exceptional achievement and performance throughout 2016 and its dedication in delivering high standards in the emergency medical service it provides to patients throughout its operations at the airport sites. The award was presented to National Ambulance by ADAC Acting Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori during Supplier Excellence Awards ceremony, which was recently held by ADAC in The Westin Hotel and Resorts, Abu Dhabi.

National Ambulance has been the emergency medical provider at Abu Dhabi International Airport since January 2014 operating two clinics and three ambulances. The team of 25 clinical staff, including; Doctors, Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians, provide patient care and emergency medical services for injured and sick patients from both arrivals and departures across the airport sites. This includes: minor illnesses and injuries to major incidents, such as cardiac arrests; strokes; and heart attacks. The service also includes passenger health screening to ensure compliance with Health Authority regulations and international travel requirements.
National Ambulance provides emergency pre-hospital care in the Northern Emirates through the dedicated 998 emergency ambulance number and smart application. National Ambulance also works with government and private clients across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to support their requirements; ranging from short-term engagements such as public events through a dedicated team to long-term engagements including constant onsite emergency medical support and patient transfer.
