National Ambulance Delivers First Aid Training for European Union Delegation

Abu Dhabi, 16 January 2016: Clinical instructors from National Ambulance recently delivered internationally accredited Heart Saver First Aid training to the European Union Delegation to the United Arab Emirates. The inaugural session took place at National Ambulance’s Head Office in Abu Dhabi with the Ambassador of the EU Delegation to the UAE, Patrizio Fondi participating.
The First Aid course featured theoretical and practical sessions on how to respond to a variety of emergencies. It also included specific training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and was completed with written and practical examinations.
Ahmed Saleh Al Hajeri, Deputy CEO of National Ambulance said: “It was great that an international delegation from European Union chose National Ambulance to deliver this vital first aid training for its staff. This was delivered by our National Ambulance educators, who, like all our employees, are trained to a very high level. Being able to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace can prove vital and National Ambulance is proud to offer its internationally accredited training to organisations throughout the UAE.”
H.E. Patrizio Fondi Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to the United Arab Emirates said: “The course was very practical, useful and effective as it provided us with basic elements on how to properly deal with certain emergency situations, therefore avoiding inconclusive panic which could result in deadly mistakes. When followed properly, the procedures taught, would enable people to save lives and prevent tragedies for many families. I think that attending such training would be our duty towards the communities we are part of. I strongly encourage other organisations to take such courses. I was very proud to be trained together with my colleagues and would like to thank National Ambulance for their warm welcome and professional attitude.”
National Ambulance provide and equip participants with the vital knowledge and skills required in an emergency situation and in handling workplace incidents giving organisations the assurance of the best in training. The course offers standard First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. National Ambulance Education Centre is accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI).
